Supported Living

Moving into more independence is a big decision in a person's life and can create worry and anxiety for all those involved. We try to support people to visit the home, meet the people who are going to be there and if possible, choose the furnishings with them. We encourage those who are moving to visit the local area and access local resources.

We understand that it is important for people to feel happy and confident if they are to achieve their aim of living as independently in a healthy and safe environment and therefore, we support those to feel that it is their home and not just a building they will be staying in. We provide support in all aspects of daily life skills and needs and promote at the level and pace of their own understanding.

We support people to identify risks and hazards and how they can reduce them. We promote appropriate choices that enhance people's lives socially, to choose activities that they have an interest in, to learn about home security, financial budgeting and meet the day to day needs to maintain their independent lifestyle.

Moving into supported living, doesn't mean relationships and present commitments will need to change. We, as a family run organisation can appreciate the importance of those we love and care about and support and encourage maintaining good relationships.

Our aim is to support the people to achieve self-worth, be a valued member in their community and live life to the fullest.
